The thing is that these are not fancy headphones! The serve a basic function and that's about it. If someone expects a stellar product, they need to spend a couple hundred (or thousand?) bucks. Considering everyone seems to go wireless, I'm surprised someone complained about the wires. As far as I can tell, the wiring and overall build is fine to me. Purchase price at the time was about $50.
