A:AnswerHi bubbe, The noise cancelling function of these headphones is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, or offices (near air-conditioning, etc.). To know more about this unit, please check the following link: https://docs.sony.com/release/mdrzx110nc.pdf. I hope this helps, Dave
A:AnswerThey do not have a microphone, so if you want to use this with a phone, they aren't your answer. They do come with an adaptor for an airplane connection. And they work with all 3.5mm jacks
A:AnswerHi Slav, The total approximate noise suppression would be 13 db. For further information with regards to your concern, we recommend you to visit this link: https://docs.sony.com/release/mdrzx110nc.pdf - Jerome
A:AnswerCheck the right headphone. Locate the red R, then check the opposite side of the arm for an indentation that says PUSH. Push that in and the battery door will pop open.
A:AnswerInteresting comment. Well these headphones are pretty much just basic phones. The sound is decent, noise cancelling is OK, and build quality seems fine to me. The thing is that these are not fancy headphones! The serve a basic function and that's about it. If someone expects a stellar product, they need to spend a couple hundred (or thousand?) bucks. Considering everyone seems to go wireless, I'm surprised someone complained about the wires. As far as I can tell, the wiring and overall build is fine to me. Purchase price at the time was about $50.
A:AnswerI believ it could be used with a guitar amp. I think it has a standard plug in. Or if it doesn't fit, i would take it to Best Buy and get the proper converter adapter for the size of connecting to the Guitar Amplifier
A:AnswerGave these to my dad for Father's Day, haven't tried them myself. When I looked at them, I don't remember seeing any kind of volume control.... He LOVES them, though! :)
A:AnswerWhen headsets only work by a wire there is no volume button only wireless have buttons. The volume on your device is the only way to control volume.
A:AnswerAnything with a headphone jack is compatible. The battery life is actually impressive as I'm using the same battery that came with the headphones after a month of constant usage.
A:AnswerYes, they are also regular headphones. Without them turned on you can hear music fine. Once the noise cancelling is powered on, the music quality also improves.
