“Will the music player app running on this device recognize and play all of the over 25000 songs I have stored on a 256GB SD Card? Most MP3 players databases only handle 15000 songs except in "Folder Mode" where playlists will not work with the overage.”

You can download the music player application before purchase via the Sony website. Test your files using the application.

The NW-A306 is confirmed to operate normally with up to a total of 20,000 tracks stored in the main memory and on the microSD card (MicroSD, MicroSDHC, and MicroSDXC). You can register up to 10 folders in the internal memory of the player or on a microSD card to [Folders to be imported]. The music files stored in [Folders to be imported] will be imported into the database of “Music player”, and you can play or manage the files in the same way as the music files stored in the default folders. For details on the procedure, visit the help guide of our NW-A306 on your model support page and see [Registering or unregistering folders to be imported to “Music player”].
