According to the Help Guide for the Sony Walkman NW-A306, there is no maximum number of songs that can be played in shuffle mode. However, the shuffle mode does not randomize all the songs at once. Instead, it selects an artist, album, or other category and plays all the corresponding songs in random order before moving on to another category. (it caps out at 4,900) Also, the maximum micro SD card capacity is 1 TB.

The maximum capacity storage is as follows: • For microSD cards, the Walkman can support up to 128 GB. • For microSDXC cards, the Walkman can support up to 1 TB. Note: • All Sony microSD cards currently available on the market are confirmed to be compatible. • Sony cannot guarantee full compatibility with cards from other brands. For your second question, the NW-A306 is confirmed to operate normally with up to a total of 20,000 tracks stored in the main memory and on the microSD card. Enjoy a high quality sound from this stylish and compact music player that lets you download and stream more of the music you love. With full Wi-Fi® compatibility, a long lasting battery and a stylish and sleek design, you can play and find new music wherever you want to go. Regards, Jess
