I purchased the product in the U.S. and read through the Limited Warranty sheet it came with just now - in parentheses next to "Limited Warranty" it has "(U.S. Only)". Later on in the warranty it states: "This Limited Warranty is valid only in the United States". I'm assuming any problems the product has outside of the U.S. would be solely on your shoulders, but you might contact Sony about it if you're unsure.
