• There is no backwards compatibility. The best you can do with a Ps3 is hope the older game you are looking for is on the Ps3 Store, but you WILL NOT be able to plug in a Ps2 disc and play it.

• I've read that the ones with 4 usb ports are compatible, but that the 120gb units like this one are not

• I'm almost positive this model is PS1 backwards compatible. I had this model for a while and I could play PS1 games on it, not saying I played all PS1 games, and not all consoles are the same, but I could run PS1 games on mine.

• Yes and no. For this specific console, No. But most of the classics from PS2 and PS1 are in the store app. For the original PS3, Yes. But it'll be very hard to find one of those.

• All is good with ps3 games. Dont download or buy any ps1 classic games, they are no good. . Ps2 was good, for a downloaded version of Grand Theft San Andreas Dont know about other ps2 games..
