• No. It works fine on a standard HDTV, but to take advantage of the 4K capabilities you would need the 4KTV to go with it. I'm using mine on a regular 1080P HDTV.

• I don't believe you need a 4K television but it definitely helps get the most out of it! If you don't plan on purchasing a 4K TV soon then the regular PS4 would suffice and save you some money, or you could purchase the PS4 Pro and just run it at 1080p

• No, it’ll run on a normal tv. It just has the capability to run games in 4K.

• No. 4k is gonna have minimal improve on the quality. If you are a regular person, you probably wouldnt notice the difference
