“Can I buy a Sony licensed ps4 external 2TB hdd, and it will be compatible with the ps5 for extra storage? Extra info would be great please before I purchase a external hdd. Thanks”

• It will be compatible with PS4 games but not with PS5 games since they will need to be run off the faster SSD. Add-on SSDs will be available in the future when Sony tells us which will be compatible with PS5

• Yes, if you'd had one some basic research you'd have this answer. the External Hard Drives used on the PS4 for Storage. They utilize the same USB connector.

• It should be compatible. It was in a bundle with the ps5 during Pre-orders.
