“How does this remote work if I have the ps5 plugged into a AV receiver that is hooked up to a tv?”

• Mine will turn on my tv and ps5 separately but i dont think it can turn on your reciver

• It controls the PS5. It will allow you to move through the menus, launch apps, ,pause, resume, and skip through media in those apps. The only thing you might have a problem with, is volume control. So far it only seems to work on TVs.

• I use the PS5 media remote with the PS5 connected to my AV receiver and TV too. I have enabled HDMI CEC. When I power on the PS5, the PS5 signals the AV Receiver to turn on via HDMI and then the AV Receiver signals the TV to turn on again via HDMI. So as long as your TV and AV Receiver support HDMI CEC it should work pretty awesomely.
