• The camera does have a built in microphone so you can speak to others while playing online. You'll need to setup your PS4 to use it as the default mic in the settings. In order to hear others, you'll need headphones, or TV speakers.

• Yes, it has a built in microphone. Be careful when playing regular games. The microphone stays on in the VR headset. Players can hear everything. Disconnect the connection from the back of the PS4.
