• They are the newer model. They work the exact same except they use micro sub to charge instead of mini usb.

• They are not only the same as the ones that originally released with the VR, they are the same ones that released for PS3 Move! They still have the older "Mini-USB" ports instead of what all Android phones use today which is called "Micro-USB". I don't think Sony will release a new version since the PSVR isn't exactly flying off of shelves anymore but they are comfortable and accurate with the game I used them for: Until Dawn: Bloodrush.
