• You don’t need it to download/buy games. You will only need it if you want to access any of the online features a game might have, play online with other people, etc etc. You do get some perks though, two free game downloads every month. Also extra discounts on certain games.

• No but You Need it if You Want to Play with your Friends and Online Multiplayer Games THe PLUS is you Get 2 Free games Each Month to Download But If you Ever Stop Being a PLUS member You Lose Those Games.

• Technically no you don't need this to download games. Playstation Plus gives you discounts on games, & allows you access to play online, Such as playing Multi-player in C.O.D. Hope this helps.
