They start white until synced with ps4 and then change colors depending on game and actions you do

The move controllers light balls are white. They light up when you are using the move controller with ps4 or the vR unit.

..wondered the same thing! The controllers are white when not in use, and light up during game play. The colors vary depending on what you’re doing, and are not just pink and red,

They are white , the color deepened on how many players are logged in. 1: Red 2: Blue 3: Green And so on..

They are pink and red. The red one seems to be for the right hand. I have seen them show other colors. They have been blue at one point then changed back to the red and pink.
