Can you use the ps4 goggles for ps3 also null

PS4 only. However any games that are not VR including any downloaded games look like you're playing them on a giant movie screen with the goggles on at a lower resolution than you see on a regular tv.

I don't think the PS3 is able to use them. They might act as a simple thing screen if anything. You won't get the true experience of VR though.

No. This peripheral is designed specifically for the PS4 only and is in no way backward compatible with previous Sony Console systems. Besides, VR requires serious processing power and the older consoles aren't powerful enough to be able to even handle a VR helmet's minimum requirements for Graphics processing power..
