Hands down best VR for the home console. As a matter of fact the ONLY VR for console as of this writing. It does transport you to another dimension entirely. The visual are a bit choppy but with the PS4 Pro power it renders 30 FPS beautifully. Recommend play first person horror genre with this bundle it makes your hair rises higher. Overall it's an expensive add-on but its worth the investment if you are bored of traditional couch-sitting. Beware of 7 plus wires to connect to otherwise and the head gear can wear out the neck also take breaks in-between to help with motion sickness. Otherwise give it a try.

Getting on the vr bandwagon has been easier than ever now. I would recommend this product. The PsVR is a great addition to our home system. Easy to use, plug and play(when u get the wires setup right). The resolution is not a great part of this device. Coming in at 1080p per eye, 2k or 4K resolution would have been great. Other than that some games make me a little sick but honestly not as bad as I thought it would. Experiences are hit and miss. Some games really nail down the graphical compromise and make the game really look very good. Others are pretty shabby . As of now, there are a lot of games to play on this thing. It really isn’t meant for your long play. I feel accomplished playing for around 30 minutes to an hour. I was worried the PSVR would have effects on my eyesight, this doesn’t appear to be the case.
Coming from Sony, this product feels solid and doesn’t seem like it could break easy unless you don’t take care of your things very well. The headset is comfortable and the viewing angle of about 100 degrees seems to be a good sweet spot.
The first time you play on VR, you will very impressed with how deep into the game world you are. It’s hard to explain how well the immersion takes you from your couch to another world.
The best game so far has been Farpoint with the PSVR aim controller. It is not gimmicky like the first iterations of rifle PsN controllers. Every once in a while recalibration is needed. But honestly a great addition to an outstanding Vr headset.
My only 2 complaints is that some of these games require some research before buying and the wires are a nightmare until you get them set up with your entertainment system.
I really recommend using the PS4 pro with the Vr for a couple reasons.
1-frame rate is more stable on the Pro and super sampling really helps the resolution of the 1080p seem not so bad
2- there is an extra USB port in the back of the pro that allows for the extra wires plugged into the PlayStation 4 pro so you don’t lose the much needed 2 front USB’s. One already taken up by the PS Camera and the other my Bluetooth dongle for my headphones.
All in all, I was nervous to purchase PsVR in its infancy but glad I did because the experience is beyond anything you’ll see before Vr.

The PlayStation VR is definitely worth the money especially if you can get it on a discount like I did. It’s a fun experience. Especially if you have never tried it before.
The only down side is the insane amount of wires you will have around your PS4 upon owner ship.
Also you have to have the PlayStation camera when buying the PS VR. Which isn’t a problem when you get the bundle that comes with every thing you need!

I was a little skeptical about playing games in VR, but it feels like you are in the game! I almost fell over trying to lean on a virtual table in a game. Great option to play games in a different/new way. The only downside is that you may get some motion sickness at first, but the more you play, the less sick you will get.

This gives a great VR experience. The provided ear buds will need to be replaced immediately for something with better sound. Make sure you have the free space for this to work properly. If you suffer from motion sickness this is not for you.

I am a child of the 80s and 90s and I remember as a kid going to the mall and stepping into a huge contraption and donning a headset and playing VR. It blew my mind despite the terrible graphics and beyond simple gameplay (shoot a block at your enemies). But when PS announced their PSVR after Oculus, I was both very skeptical since they had much ground to make up, but I was also super excited. Eventually my desire to step back into VR got the best of me and my wife OK'd the purchase ($500 is a lot of money). OH MAN, I'm so glad and happy in my decision. The PSVR has given me the best video gaming experience in decades. There is no way to describe what it feels like to step INTO a 3D world and interact with it. London Heist immediately blew me away (having a 3D person stand in front of you in a 3D environment for the first time is pretty intense), the Shark Encounter made me scream like a little child, and Batman made me feel amazing. The free PlayroomVR games download is also really, really fun and also has ways to engage those not wearing a headset via talking or a controller. Fruit Ninja has been a really fun purchase and I can't wait to try other games. I will admit I cannot do the flying or motion games like RIGS and EVE Valkyrie, but Batman ALONE made this purchase worthwhile. What I also love is that since we're at the beginning stages of VR, there are a bunch of great little experiences to have for little money - most games under $25. ZERO regrets. Fully satisfied.
I had to buy the VR bundle since I didn't have the motion controls or camera and I had to buy it here, online (free delivery), since Best Buy didn't carry the bundle in store (not sure why - maybe not enough quantities?).

I've been wanting to own a true virtual reality video game system since the days of Virtual Boy and have always been disappointed. When I tried the HTC Vive and was underwhelmed, I thought we were still another generation away from true VR. However, the PS VR is true virtual reality. It's a stunning experience and exceeded all my expectations. That said, it's not perfect. They're still developing games that utilize the technology properly. That's true of most new systems but especially true with VR. Developers are still trying to figure out how you should "move" in the games without getting motion sickness and it's a tough balance. As a result, some games feel like walkthroughs instead of traditional games. Which brings me to my second point, it's easy to get motion sickness playing the VR. It varies from person to person and game to game, but it's definitely something to consider. I normally play about 15-30 mins at a time but have played up to an hour with a game like Batman that doesn't involve a lot of motion. There are games however that if I played for an hour, I'd get sick. That said, it bothers me less after playing for a couple weeks than when I first started. I also think you adapt and learn to avoid looking down when you're moving. However, it's worth noting that some people get sick immediately, so I'd try it out before you drop $500.

This will definitely give you immersive gaming experience. The games are limited but of good quality. The headset looks big and heavy but actually very light and comfortable. You do notice the connection cord hanging down from behind the head. You can wear it for long periods of time and not feel tired. Set up is easy. One other great thing is to use it to watch regular movies. It looks like you are staring at the screen in the theater.

Pros: Very comfortable.
Cons: A little less to hookup would be ideal. 1080p resolution feels a little outdated but still provides a ton of “wow factor”.
Definetely looking towards v2 of the PSVR but for now this will do the trick.

PLUG INTO THE MATRIX

The first time I put this headset on it felt like I was literally getting plugged into the matrix. The system is fun and light enough to keep you playing longer (supposed to only play 15mins at a time). It’s surprisingly comfortable as well. The only cons are the cables. Cables in a wireless world get annoying, but this tech isn’t exactly at wireless level yet anyway. WORTH THE MONEY.

I've been gaming since the Atari 800 XL and this is by far the most amazing experience I've ever had. Unfortunately, the PSVR made me vomit several times. I guess I have motion sickness. I also get very sick on boats, if that has anything to do with it. Very neat though!

DADGUM! This is the coolest thing ever. My one con: the wires are heavy and weigh down the headset and with that, I’d recommend getting some kind of clip to give your headset some slack and you won’t be rigging cable when you’re looking around. Once resolved, everything is 100%.
Farpoint is rad, worlds is pretty good for small gatherings and letting people try different playing styles, but rush of blood is one of my favorites. Especially for little get-togethers. The aim controller is awesome(not in this bundle)
One you put the headset on and have cleared your surroundings, just a little step left and right will give you the impression you’re no longer home but you know better so it’s an odd feeling if you’re new to it. The graphics aren’t like 4K hdr phenomenal but they don’t have to be!! It’s so much fun, some games have awesome graphics compared to others but I can safely assume that more games down the road will improve on that, as it is a little fresh still.
Just buy it, you’ll lose yourself in it and then you’ll be late for work ;)
And one other subjective con: the camera is round... you can’t just set it on top of the tv and that cable is thick and can keep you from positioning it perfectly, but if you play with it enough and find out where exactly it needs to be, you can work around that..
If you can’t tell I hate wires, especially thick ugly cables like coax.. freaking disgusting. Hahaha
And can not play with a lot of people moving around, the camera will lose sight of you and then you may need to recenter or something but just don’t play until your 2year old goes to bed. That’s what I learned and i haven’t had issues.
The headset does come with separate in ear headphones, so I don’t think you can use the PlayStation gold headset with it, but I haven’t tried.. I’m sure if you use an auxiliary cable from the vr dongle to the psgold headset instead of just using the basic headphones it’ll work and you’ll have virtual surround sound too! I just haven’t tried because that’s a lot to put on my head and like I said, my kid is 2 I don’t know about closing myself off from the world entirely.. but yeah it’s great :) It’s my first br experience, I’ve never tried oculus so I can’t compare it really but I really love this headset

I purchased the PSVR system bundle which included the headset, motion sticks, and VR Worlds. All I have to say is - WOW! This type of game play is something that must be experienced first hand. The feeling of being immersed into a video game is unreal. I am very happy with the product so far. I have no complaints about how the headset or motion controllers work and function. Some of my favorite games for VR include: Job Simulator, London Heist (VR Worlds), Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, and Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes.
