Best Console VR Available
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hands down best VR for the home console. As a matter of fact the ONLY VR for console as of this writing. It does transport you to another dimension entirely. The visual are a bit choppy but with the PS4 Pro power it renders 30 FPS beautifully. Recommend play first person horror genre with this bundle it makes your hair rises higher. Overall it's an expensive add-on but its worth the investment if you are bored of traditional couch-sitting. Beware of 7 plus wires to connect to otherwise and the head gear can wear out the neck also take breaks in-between to help with motion sickness. Otherwise give it a try.

Pleasantly surprised (coming from an Oculus user)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I returned my Oculus Rift after roughly 10 days with it and was left with buyer's remorse (even with the price drop, it still didn't convince me). The Rift does have superior motion tracking and controllers but there just wasn't enough CONTENT to take advantage of the pricey VR headset. So I returned it. In comes the PS4 VR. I was going in with low expectations since I was told many times that it was the inferior of the popular 3 that were out there (the HTC Vive being the other) and I was pleasantly surprised. The immersion of most of the games definitely gave you this "wow factor". And you absolutely must play this with headphones because it completes the immersion of using the headset. I'll break it down to Pros and Cons PROS: -Cheapest of the popular 3 VR headsets out there but not really much of a compromise since the image quality is roughly the same -The "screen door effect" isn't as noticeable as it was in the Oculus Rift -CONTENT (aka: games)!!! -Easiest VR headset to put on and take off. The Rift was like putting on a helmet and taking it off was a pain if you had to go to the bathroom -The immersion and wow factor is almost immediate once you get the focus down for your eyes CONS -To maintain a high framerate (necessary to reduce motion sickness), the games look like they are dumbed down a LOT. -If you played Resident Evil 7 without VR, the VR version truly compromises the graphics fidelity to keep the framerate up -The 'games' seem like tech demos. The only real game that felt like a GAME was Resident Evil 7 -Setup can be a pain. So many wires. Only the HTC Vive has more wires and gadgets involved to set this thing up -The headset will make your PS4 heat up quickly. Don't be surprised if you hear your PS4's internal fans blaring loudly Overall: At this price point, you can't go wrong. It's the weakest of the 3 popular VR headsets out there but the overall, the value proposition outweighs the other 2. When I had the Oculus Rift, I dropped $600 but it only worked well because my PC gaming rig cost about $1500 to build. If you already own a PS4, this is probably the most budget conscientious route to go since it goes more for a casual approach. Plus, if you have your PS4 connected to a TV, it makes for a better social gimmick since everyone in the room can see what you're seeing in the headset. Definitely a great product to own!

Highly, highly, highly recommend
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a child of the 80s and 90s and I remember as a kid going to the mall and stepping into a huge contraption and donning a headset and playing VR. It blew my mind despite the terrible graphics and beyond simple gameplay (shoot a block at your enemies). But when PS announced their PSVR after Oculus, I was both very skeptical since they had much ground to make up, but I was also super excited. Eventually my desire to step back into VR got the best of me and my wife OK'd the purchase ($500 is a lot of money). OH MAN, I'm so glad and happy in my decision. The PSVR has given me the best video gaming experience in decades. There is no way to describe what it feels like to step INTO a 3D world and interact with it. London Heist immediately blew me away (having a 3D person stand in front of you in a 3D environment for the first time is pretty intense), the Shark Encounter made me scream like a little child, and Batman made me feel amazing. The free PlayroomVR games download is also really, really fun and also has ways to engage those not wearing a headset via talking or a controller. Fruit Ninja has been a really fun purchase and I can't wait to try other games. I will admit I cannot do the flying or motion games like RIGS and EVE Valkyrie, but Batman ALONE made this purchase worthwhile. What I also love is that since we're at the beginning stages of VR, there are a bunch of great little experiences to have for little money - most games under $25. ZERO regrets. Fully satisfied. I had to buy the VR bundle since I didn't have the motion controls or camera and I had to buy it here, online (free delivery), since Best Buy didn't carry the bundle in store (not sure why - maybe not enough quantities?).

Mind Blowing!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been gaming since the Atari 800 XL and this is by far the most amazing experience I've ever had. Unfortunately, the PSVR made me vomit several times. I guess I have motion sickness. I also get very sick on boats, if that has anything to do with it. Very neat though!

Q: QuestionCan you watch movies on this VR headset also? Do they have to be blue ray that's played in the PS4 system or can you watch online like the You tube VR movies, etc.? Thanks
Asked by Jenni.
- A:Answer Yes, you can play movies through the VR helmet. They don't have to be Blu Ray only. You can also play movie files from Youtube or an external hard drive or media drive (even movie files on a USB Stick. You just have to download the free Media Player app and the movie file has to be a standard readable format (.Mp4, MPEG-2, etc.). There's also support to play "VR" movie files though I haven't tried it yet with my Playstation VR helmet.

Q: Questionis this bad on the eyes or not i heard it was
Asked by kimmy.
- A:Answer I haven't had any eye issues. Inside the goggles what you view is rendered as if it was 10 feet away. I wear glasses normally and need to wear them while playing with the VR. Only thing that happens is a bit of a headache after long playing because of the fact you have a big thing strapped to your head.
