“I plan to use this while in bed. MY TV screen is farther than the 6' cable. Are there any other cables or extentions that I can purchase so that it reaches from my TV to where I lay my head in bed? I would say that I need at least 15 feet.”

I sit on my couch which is at least 13 feet away with a bit of length left. You should be okay.
