• No idea. I'd bring it back to BB for replacement (if within first 14 days) or call about warranty (if within 1 year)

• that usually means that the battery is just about dead.

• This means the batteries are low. It will revive a bit with on/off switching but will just lead to frustration. Go ahead and put in a new AAA battery and this will cease.
