It's not easy to find walkman-type radios these days, and most that I've found do not satisfy my desire to have a radio that I can tune to stations without looking. I have another little radio that I bought a year or two ago (also from Best Buy) and I've used it only a few times because it was difficult to program and you have to look at it to find the station you want. This more recently purchased Sony walkman is much easier to use.

Pros: showcase door, quiet, sleek look, easy setup. Cons: can't stand up wine bottle in door without removing a door shelf. Wish inside shelves had more positions available.

I found this radio Easy to use, does not use up batteries and the best part it only takes one triple " A" Batt.. It does not have a speaker, but this is not what I wanted it for. Perfect for ear pieces. Easy to use for keeping the stations.

I wanted a radio to listen to while in the yard weeding, and such. My phone has a radio, but I didn't like getting it full of dirt. This radio has a belt clip to stick it on my waistband, and picked up a classical station I like in the next state. The reception went in and out sometimes when I moved around, but for the most part, I'm happy with it.

Easy to use but the only thing I don't like is the headphones I would much rather have ear buds

This little radio works surprisingly well, considering its cost. I use it on walks, runs, etc. Sound is adequate and radio is durable. Can't beat it for the price.

I was looking for a compact AM/FM radio, to use while working out, and one with the AM band is hard to find, so I settled on this. Electronic tuning and preset buttons are nice. I would have liked something just a little smaller, but it does fit in my pocket, and also has a belt clip. Reception is OK, and since I usually listen to talk shows, it does not have to be HI-FI.

Bought this Sony Walkman for long walks during a two week trip to FL. Overall I thought the product was sturdy/durable with me dropping it a few times...in the sand, on concrete and ceramic tile. It always worked very well, good reception, easy to use, loved the "lock" switch which kept me from accidentally changing the station or shutting it off. It doesn't get 5 stars because I thought it was a bit over priced for older technology.

This Sony Walkman is the best with a belt clip, lightweight and compact but still packs a punch with 15 programmable channels and great sound.

Conveniently clips on to my belt for hands-free listening while exercising. Reception is excellent.

Most small radios have reception problems. I have not had any trouble with this one. Easy to use.

Got this to replace an old Sony Walkman. It's smaller, lighter, and better. As a golfer, I also appreciate the weather band feature. My only small gripe: I put this on the rear waistband of my pants or belt when I'm playing golf, and the small clip can be hard to attach behind the back.

The first one of these I bought 15 years ago. It finally conked out. I bought the same one and and it identical except it doesn't receive TV channels like the old one. Analog was replaced by digital. What I really like it takes only one AAA battery and it lasts for a long time. AM/FM portable radios are hard to find theses days and this one is the best I have ever had.

I just needed a small radio to listen to while walking long distance. The sound quality is excellent, it is light and it does not stray off the station. I had a Walkman many years ago so I trusted the brand name and the quality is far better than the old model. I wish it had come with the earbuds instead of the head set though, so I bought a new set of earbuds

I have used the Sony Portable radio for the last ten years and when my grandson wanted the original one I had I purchased another one. I thought I'd try a different portable but returned it because of the inferior performance. I found that the Sony portable had much better and clearer reception even in the most difficult reception conditions, it has performed better than my bigger radio devices.

One AAA battery lasts a long time. Clips right on your belt, or suspenders, if you are that type. Good reception and easy to set up. Heck, it is a little radio, a throwback to the '60s, but if you'd rather listen to the news or talk radio, it beats using your phone.

GOOD RECEPTION, LOCK ON/OFF FEATURE IS SOLID, LONG BATTERY LIFE.
