• No and no. When the batteries die it just stops and the recording is saved. There is no beeping noises when the batteries are dying.

• Hi there! No, this recorder has a built-in flash memory so it will not lose any stored information when the batteries are replaced/dies. When the batteries are low/dies, the battery indicator will flashes before the unit turns off. Thanks, -Mark
