absolutely. as with any Blu-ray player, standard 480 NTSC DVDs set to region one will play. You can also play Audio CDs as well as the following formats: Blu -Ray BD-ROM BD-R/BD-RE DVD DVD-ROM DVD-R/DVD-RW DVD+R/DVD+RW CD CD-DA (Music CD) CD-ROM CD-R/CD-RW Super Audio CD
