  • QuestionWhat should be optimal room size for sa rs3s rear speakers. Can hang speakers on the wall. My couch is flash with wall. So my rear position would be close to behind position. Would that affect spatial sound mapping. Room size 12 long, 20ft wide. Thanks

    • Answer Thanks for your answer i have ht-a5000 soundbar, sa sw3 subwoofer and thinking of buying sa rs3s. Like i said my living room size is 12 ft long and about 20 ft wide. Only thing is i have to put rear speakers on the wall because of my sectional furniture is flush with wall. And position of tv and soundbar is not in center of room, because of that am afraid that i don't have optimal room for that set up. Thanks

The HT-A3000 immerses you in authentic surround sound with a center speaker for clear dialogue and a built-in dual subwoofer for impressive power. You can make the dialogs clearer with this soundbar by pressing the VOICE button. When VOICE is on, dialog is easily heard by enhancing dialog range. By adjusting the dialog volume, you can easily listen to dialog since it stands out from the ambient noise. By going to [Direction of sound field] under [Sound Field Adjustment] in the speaker settings, follow the instructions on the screen to set the positional relationship between the front speakers and the TV, and between the speakers and the listening position. This adjusts the direction from which you hear sound such as dialog to improve the synchronization of image and sound, and also adjusts the direction and balance of the sound to improve its realism. To use this setting, connect the optional rear speakers (SA-RS3S) and enable the [360 Spatial Sound Mapping] function. The HT-A7000, HT-A5000, and HT-A3000 soundbars already offer immersive sound with a wider sweet spot so all the family can share the experience. Add the SA-RS3S wireless rear speakers and you'll enjoy even more authentic home entertainment with sound behind and all around you.     • Answer Hi Teelee, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the STRDH790 receiver doesn't support wireless speakers. Wired speakers (bare wire) with an impedance of 6-16 ohms can be connected to the receiver. You may want to consider the Sony SS-CS3 (Floor standing speaker), SS-CS5 (Bookshelf speaker), or SS-CS8 (Center speaker). Additional information: Using 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology, the SA-RS3S wireless rear speakers work with our latest compatible soundbars to create multiple phantom speakers around your room. When you're surrounded on all sides by multiple phantom speakers within an optimized sound field, you'll hear every sound with incredible intensity. Pairing these speakers to any other soundbars is not supported. If you have the Sony NT5, CT790 or CT800 soundbar, you can use the Sony SRS- ZR5, ZR7 plug in rear speakers. The STR-AZ3000ES 9.2 Channel 8K AV Receiver can connect wirelessly to Sony's optional speakers including the wireless rear speakers SA-RS5 and SA-RS3S and optional wireless subwoofers SA-SW5 and SA-SW3 will add deep bass sound and an optional rear speaker (SA-RS5/SA-RS3S) offers an even more immersive cinematic experience. It uses its own wireless transmission to connect with the compatible models (HT-A7000, HT-A5000, HT-A3000, ES Series lineup and STR-AN1000). Pairing these speakers to any other devices is not supported. Note: The Rear speaker plays surround sound as part of the multi-channel sound or processed from the 2-channel sound.     • Answer The power cord can be disconnected from the speaker. So they aren't showing it in the picture. The cord will be visible when set up in your home. I just hid mine the best i could with decorations and furniture.

Make sure that the software of your HT-A5000 is updated to Version 1.378. We’ve recently released a firmware update that adds support for the 360 Spatial Sound Mapping function. This turntable has a Bluetooth capability to transmit a signal for Bluetooth connectivity with headphones and speakers.
