I first purchased an open box SA-SW5 in excellent condition. Atleast so I thought. The speaker ended up not in excellent condition and it made this static sound when the audio called for bass. The speaker was obviously blown and I returned it. I didn't want to chance this happening again so I purchased a new replacement SA-SW5. It sounds like your SA-SW5 speaker may be blown. Either return it to the store for a replacement or turn it in for warranty. I hope this helps. Good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Pano, We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the SA-SW5 wireless subwoofer making a noise. Various reasons can cause noise interference to the sound from the subwoofer. Try these steps and check the sound after completing each one. 1. If there is a device nearby that generates electromagnetic waves, such as a wireless LAN or a microwave oven in use, locate the subwoofer and soundbar apart from it. 2. If there is an obstacle between the subwoofer and soundbar, move or remove it. 3. Locate the subwoofer and soundbar as close as possible. 4. Change the [RF Channel] setting to [Off], and then change to [On] again. Select [Setup] - [Advanced Settings] - [Speaker Settings] - [Wireless Speaker Settings] - [RF Channel] select Off once, and turn the setting On again. 5. Change the [Wireless Playback Quality] setting to [Connection]. Select [Setup] - [Advanced Settings] - [Speaker Settings] - [Wireless Speaker Settings] - [Wireless Playback Quality] to [Connection]. 6. Reset the speaker system. - To reset the HT-A7000, press HOME, select [Setup] - [Advanced Settings] - [Resetting]. - If you cannot perform resetting using the home menu, press and hold (power) button and – (volume down) button on the bar speaker for more than 5 seconds. Note: By resetting, the link with the optional subwoofer and rear speakers may be lost. In this case, reconnect them by referring to their operating instructions.
