Hi Kory, Great question. Based on customer feedback, the XB23 is designed more around portability rather than trying to get sound all around the speaker uniformly. Because of this the XB23 will fit in most cupholders and similarly small spaces. It is waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof for your peace of mind. Both of the XB23s speakers are facing the same direction so you can get true Left/Right separation like the artist intended. This also means, if you lay it flat it sounds just as good as it does standing up. That being said for a small speaker the XB23 can really fill a room with audio. Hope this helps! ~Ralph
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.can you hear it from any angle? Yes. But if you don't have it aimed at your listening position, the Highs become less audible. Some may consider this a drawback, but I actually like this because if i am talking with a co-worker, i just turn the speaker a little to cut down on the highs and be able to hear my friend better. Or if some of your music or mp3s are encoded with a lot of high eq, you can just turn it away from you. Its like a quick tone control for me without having to press any buttons or turn knobs.
