“After maybe an hour or so of listening to music at a high volume level it will randomly drop and in order to turn it back up I have to turn it off and let it sit for awhile why does it do this?”

• It'll do it even if it's completely changed to start with and I have the lights turned off

• Make sure the unit it fully charged. Had the same problem until I fully charged it while I was out of the house.
