• It will support an old turntable using the Phono inputs without a preamp. I just connected my 40 year old JVC JL-A20 turntable and it works great.

• Hi JoeZ, thank you for your inquiry. Yes. If your turntable supports a Phono jack connection then you can directly connect your turntable without using a pre-amp. Hope this helps! -Sam
