“Hooked up a cd player and Turntable. CD works fine, but when playing an LP on my turntable the system sounds terrible. Too much base, tried adjust and nothing helps. I switched the turntable to a different input and it sounds much better. Why?”

Make sure your turntable is using a MM (Moving Magnet) cartridge and doesn't contain a built in preamp. Some recent turntables generate a line out signal to work with Amps that don't provide a phono input.
