I was able to correct the problem by resetting the AT&T Uverse remote. The remote is a universal one used to operate a nearby AT&T DVR and a Sony TV. 1363
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Since asking this question I've discovered it's the TV universal remote turning the Stereo receiver on and off, not the TV remote. The universal remote is for the AT&T Uverse DVR. The TV is a Sony Bravia.

This receiver doesn't have a feature where it would turn on/off whenever you turn your TV on/off. To better isolate this issue, please let us know what TV model are you using? is it connected to this receiver? if it is connected, is it connected via the RCA AUDIO IN port? Are you using a universal remote control? Please email us these information at [email protected] with the following details so we can better assist you: Name: Username: Model Number: Issue: Telephone Number: In the meantime, please contact your TV or remote manufacturer if it has a feature that controls multiple devices within its range.
