QuestionIs there any point to having this receiver if I already have a Sony HT-Z29f sound system connected to a Bravia KD 65XF9005 TV? Would it drive two old JBL88 speakers along with the TVs sound system or would that just mess up the engineering of the Z29F?

- Answer The unit did come with a remote control, we’ve just never used it. We have ours connected to our Spectrum cable box and use a universal remote to control all of electronics connected to the home theater.

Question... while on xbox and going a game to the home page - the Sony reciever pops up with it's "home" and I need to keep selecting "game"... It's woefully annoying... any way to turn this off and only have the "home" appear when using the sony remote? I

- Answer Mine does not do that. You should ask Sony about that. I have one source hooked up to each of the inputs and they all behave well with each other with no one trying to take over. However, when I turn on my Blu Ray player it does send a signal and the receiver switches to it so perhaps whatever you have hooked up to what you call home is sending the same kind of signal.

- Answer tough question... You just connect the receiver to the tv, but to the cable box, it does not make sense from my opinion.
