A:AnswerThe unit did come with a remote control, we’ve just never used it. We have ours connected to our Spectrum cable box and use a universal remote to control all of electronics connected to the home theater.
A:AnswerMine does not do that. You should ask Sony about that. I have one source hooked up to each of the inputs and they all behave well with each other with no one trying to take over. However, when I turn on my Blu Ray player it does send a signal and the receiver switches to it so perhaps whatever you have hooked up to what you call home is sending the same kind of signal.

Both HTCT380 and STRDH590 are Audio system so you won't be able to connect the soundbar to the AV Receiver. Check this link for the specification of this unit.
