“SONY I purchased this 7.2 receiver under a year ago. It turns off continually with the word protect on the display before doing so. If you read the Bestbuy reviews this is a Very common problem with this model! What do you suggest? Its connected properly”

Avoid this model and maybe Sony. I had 2 units fail, the replacement died just after 2y warranty. Service in NY said this was a known board problem. Sony sent a replacement that just went lemon on me. If you've followed the troubleshooting guide from Sony, it's internal, known, and Sony will not give a mouse-toot about it. Thank you for your money, get lost.
