“Why does this "home theater system" not have any speakers with it? Also, since there are no speakers included, are there any that are most compatible?”

Hi Customer, Thank you for the inquiry! All of our Sony AV receivers don't have a speakers included. You can create a robust 5.1.2 home theater setup perfect for Dolby Atmos with the complete range of CS speakers from Sony with 2 SSCS5 bookshelf speakers, 1 SSCS8 center channel speaker, 2 SSCS3 tower speakers, 2 SSCSE Dolby Atmos enabled speakers, and the SACS9 subwoofer. If you want a third party speakers, any speakers that feature bare wire connection will work to this receiver, as long as their impedances are from 6 to 16 ohms. Regards, David

The system powers Seven speakers at once for True 7.2ch/5.1.2 channel surround. Plug in a sub-woofer that takes RCA input to either of the pre-amp outputs or use a wireless Sony. Frequently bought together items at the bottom of the page will link you to Floor Standing, Bookshelf, Atmos/Elevation, Center and sub-woofer speakers. Sony's lineup works great, but others could be used. After completing auto calibration be prepared for amazement enjoying a 4K Blu-ray or your favorite 4K/Atmos streaming service.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It’s not a surround sound package it’s just the receiver. You could buy Sony speakers separate if you would like too. Any speaker with work with this receiver. I have Polk speakers and they work with it.
