“If I'm listening to audio on a paired Bluetooth device, will the sound normally still come out through the speakers? If so, is there a way to switch the speakers off?”

Hi Ray, this receiver doesn't support Bluetooth headphones. You can only receive audio from a WALKMAN, smartphone, or tablet that has a BLUETOOTH function and listen to the received audio content via this receiver. Thanks! ^Ron

Please try again later.I own an older version of the same receiver and use apple iPods for listening during workouts…and yes once the Bluetooth is activated through my Apple TV connected to the receiver the speakers do turn off.again speakers will turn off connecting Apple TV through receiver. Sounds great too. To be fair after about five years I’m planning on buying g this model again as my lights on the receiver no longer work and the audio is consistent but the video is starting to go in and out. Five years seems fair. I’m buying another one.
