“Is the powered USB port on the back switched or always on? (I asked this previously but the Sony answer isn't correct.) I'm asking about the USB port on the rear upper left, labeled 'Power Supply' 5v 1amp. Is that port switched or always on.”

• Just checked. It’s always on. Quickly went through the settings to see if it was configurable and did not find an obvious option to control the USB port.
