• I use a Sony 55 in. 4k TV and my HDR looks great. I would think it would depend more on the cables your using and the HDR source.

• I believe this receiver would be compatible with the Samsung. I have it connected with a digital Optical Audio cable. I am using 5.1 speaker system with subwoofer. The sound is great. Hope this helps. Good luck.
