I upgraded to 18GB premium cables and it seemed to resolve this issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have a strange issue. It appears that the HDMI chip in the UBP-X800 is out of timing or synch with the HDMI chip down stream (TV or receiver/audio amplifier). Hard to say which is the culprit. You'll have to work this issue with Sony Support. BTW, if you purchased this UBP-X800 from Best Buy, then you can have their Magnolia group set-up the player for free for your TV/home theater environment. They should be able to resolve your problem with the help of Sony Support.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I swapped the player out and the issue is resolved I am using an older 25 foot Monster HDMI 1000ex cable and it is working flawlessly!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same issue, you are having signal drop. The systems main menu and screen saver have larger bandwidth and data transfer, often signal drop will occur. Do you have the same problem with The players screen savior after you start playing movie?Another point, just bc the 4K players tells you what it's output should be ( 4K /24p/HDR), doesn't mean the TV is displaying it. My recommendation, get certified 18 Gbps cables and the only companies that sell them are GE, Monoprice, and Rocketfish... buy the cheapest one. If you using a cable length longer the 6 feet, you might need a HDMI 18Gbps repeater.
