• My guess would be yes. Even on my HDR TV, the HDR feature can be turned off.

• Yes, you'll be able to use this player because it does HDR to SDR conversion for older, non-HDR, tv's

• Yes, you will still be able to watch 4K movies, you just won't get any of the HDR effect.

• To my knowledge, yes. My 4K HDR TV has a picture setting for HDR content, that only turns on when 4K HDR content is detected. That content will still display without that setting on, however. It just doesn't look quite as crisp. It still looks very good though.
