“I was considering the purchase of the X800. The reviews about freezing, shutoffs, etc. troubled me. Has anyone experienced similar issues with the new X700? I'm a senior citizen trying to avoid issues with the purchase of a new BluRay. Thanks”

I just got this Player and No Freezing Whasever I do Recommend you getting this 4K Blu-ray Player

Have watched about 6 DVD's since my purchase and have had no issues with freezing, shutoffs or other problems. At this early stage of my experience with this player I am extremely happy with performance and picture quality.

We have watched about thirty DVD’s to date with this player, ranging from standard DVD’s, to Blue Rays, to 4K’s with absolutely no problems what so ever. Every movie no matter the format displayed a beautiful picture, with no problems.
