• Try disconnecting the cord at the back of the player and start over.

• I have run into this with vudu before after a kid watched something. I believe you can actually turn this off in vudu as well as probably on the player. Found actual instructions here: https://forum.vudu.com/showthread.php?947564-closed-caption-how-to-remove
