Hello Smokybear, I'm not sure what you mean by TV ears? If you are referring the an antenna, you should not affect performance. find one that meets you needs, i.e. for 45" (most picture are 700P, larger 1080P and UHD will play best on larger screens. also make sure the DVD/Blu-Ray has the proper connection for you television. As for setup, it will be very easy if you have an HDMI connection on both the TV and player. Best Holiday wisher to you and your family.
