A good, reasonably-priced option for better sound from a TV is the sound bars that are available now. If you are not a serious audiophile, a sound bar can give you the richer sound you may be looking for. Many also allow you to add additional speakers and a subwoofer. It all depends on how important the audio is to you and how much you want to spend.
