• A:Answer No it's not; what you are looking for has been modded to read all regions and it's not a Sony anymore. You can buy on Amazon or from Best buy but if you have issues you will need to deal with seller NOT Sony or best buy.

• A:Answer Does your laptop have a hdmi input, that’s how I plug mine in, I use hdmi 2 on the tv. That’s all you need. Most computers have hdmi inputs now
