I just acquired a new Sony HX400v, will I be able to remove the SD card without having to dismount the camera from the tripod head. If not can you direct me to a tripod that will allow the removal of the card without dismounting the camera? null

Not familiar with your camera, but tripod screws into bottom of camera like any other tripod do entry to your SD card shouldn't be a problem. Works fine with Nikon 5000.

Well if ur SD card slot is on the side then yes u can just get to it.. it's usually the battery, that it has to be taken off the tripod, we'll at least for me my battery is at the bottom.

Hi Blinkandgone, no, you won't be able to open the battery door when using this tripod. We suggest looking at the VCT-R100 model. Thanks_Mitch
