Does the Sony UBP-X1000 do dolby vision? null

No the Sony UBP-X1000ES does not support Dolby Vision. The Sony UBP-X700 will support Dolby Vision with upcoming firmware update in summer 2018.

As you are likely aware, Dolby Vision is Dolby HDR. The UBP-X1000ES features Dolby Audio =and= HDR, but I cant find reference whether HDR is tied to Sony or Dolby? What I can tell you, is that both HDR and Dolby processing are exceptionally good, and the 1000ES also has separate audio outputs if you need them.
