A:AnswerMy Sony UBP-X1000ES does indeed have left and right audio outputs for analog. The cables have to be purchased separately. I have been using my unit with analog outputs connected to my Space Tech Labs A-102 Headphone Amp, driving my Hifiman HE-400i Headphones. I have played SACD, DVD-Audio HiRes, and CD Formatted Disks with very satisfying results. The 1000ES has two HDMI Outputs, No.1 HDMI sends all of the digital/video/audio signals to your Flat Screen LCD TV. Connecting HDMI No.2 to a multi-channel Dolby Processing Receiver diverts those signals, while still maintaining the video signal going thru No. 1 HDMI to your monitor.
I primarily use my 1000ES as a Universal Audio Player only, connecting the player only once to my monitor to configure the settings and check for software updates. It remains separate from the rest of my video system, being used primarily for audio. This limits your access to the different content on DVD-Audio HiRes. Defaults are set in the configuration for dual layer SACDs. The display on the unit itself is very limited as it does not describe when it is outputting CD signal, HiRes, or DSD. Presumably, that information would be displayed on your monitor. I have not tried the Unit with Blue-Ray Audio, or used the USB Input. I don't believe the USB will accept Music Files via cable from your laptop or desktop PC. I believe that it is designed to accept a thumb drive of recorded Music Files, formatted in a specific way. You can't download drivers onto the 1000ES for your laptop/desktop PC Music Playback. There are specifically similar units (With even more audio features) like Oppo, and a few other manufacturers. Some can play SACD, others cannot, among the litany of Audio Formats. Sony is well known for SACD, so....

A:AnswerI don’t have the OLED or a 4K TV yet (my 1080P LG has to “fail” first says the wife) but I have had the same issue, with 3 UBP-800s and 1 UPB 1000 ES. Players just suddenly freeze then shut down. My latest 1000 froze once but not since. Players absolutely beautiful Blue rays . I was streaming NETFLIX and others through them but don’t do that now and no longer seem to have issue (went to an Apple TV 4K for streaming). All components, including 1000ES, run through a Marantz 7011 and MartinLogan speakers. I believe there must be a software/firmware gremlin in the Sony players, especially since you have the same issue. For now, get a warranty extension and hope someone has a better answer.
A:AnswerHi Pedijach, This unit supports Region A (BD) and Region 1 (DVD). You may refer to the link below for more information:

A:AnswerYes. The player will support Dolby Digital along with the other common compressed and lossless sound formats. By default, the player will decode the audio signal internally and output as LPCM. You can also set the player to simply output the audio bitstream to be decoded by a home theater receiver.
A:AnswerThe 1000 has a front LCD display, which the 800 doesn't. The 1000 also has right and left analog stereo output jacks (RCA type) on the back, so you can connect to an external sound system for your movies...and also listen to Blu-ray audio discs. There may be other minor differences that I'm not aware of.
A:AnswerHi andy, no, we do not recommend using voltage converters with our devices as we cannot guarantee if they will work. Instead, we recommend purchasing the same model or equivalent in Europe as the devices sold in that region will match the region's power requirement. Thanks, -Mark
A:AnswerHi Ron,
Depending on the power requirements of the country, you may need a transformer to make the UBPX1000ES work since US models will require its 120 V AC, 60 Hz. Should you be using the unit to the Philippines, keep in mind that the warranty for service will be in the US.

A:AnswerWell the 1000 does not have balanced outputs. Pretty sure the 1100 doesn't either. Probably need to look at a little more money for those kind of features.
