• No it’s the same but the x 1000 is just built better over all

• Model UPB-X800 is a great 4K Blue Ray Player ,it plays Dolby ATMOS for 5.1 and 7.1 sound bars and surround systems, it has the same chassis as the Sony1000 unit but without the front LCD display..plus the price has drop to 150.00$ , i have both units, you can play all 4K movie and regular 1080P movie as well
