• Yes, this is a region free player. I tested this with Daft Punk's "Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem". No clue if NTSC will work but most likely.

• No, this is not region free. It is Region A North America. It will play region 1 DVD’s and CD’s, SACD, and 4k UHD Blu-ray Discs as well as use as Media stream music from your PC.
