Hi Sacd, We appreciate you reaching out with your question regarding the UBP-X700U Blu-ray player. The player does not output native high-resolution DSD audio from SACDs through the digital coaxial output; native DSD audio is transmitted exclusively via the HDMI output. When using the coaxial connection for SACD audio playback, the signal is automatically converted to a PCM format. Thanks for choosing Sony. Best regards, Eliab
