• No battery it have to be plug in at all times

• Hi there, This audio system needs to be plugged into a power source. It does not have a built-in battery. You might want to check these Sony home audio system that can be charged with built-in battery: GTK-XB90 and GTK-XB60. Thanks for considering Sony! Regards, Jess
