• Hello Tarek, Thank you for your interest in Sony and the V71! Unfortunately, this unit cannot be charged, it needs to be plugged into a wall outlet to power the unit. You might want to check these Sony home audio system that can be charged with built-in battery: GTK-XB90 and GTK-XB60. Hope this helps! David

• No, this unit is not rechargeable. It will be required to be plugged into an outlet of some sort. If you did want to make it portable you could plug it into battery backup device. The louder you play it the more wattage (power) it will use.
