This MP3 player charges from USB ports with the provided USB cord.

It comes with a cable that plugs into the MP3 device. The other end is USB, therefore it needs to be plugged into a computer unless you have a A/C with a USB plug similar to third party devices used to charge other mp3 devices or phones. My daughter has one and she loves it. She can listen to the device 2 or 3 hours for 5 days straight without ever recharging it. The battery life is one of the best out there.
