• Yes, I plug mine to my car stereo everyday using the Aux cable. I don't know about the second part of your question. My stereo is a factory stereo and it doesn't show up on it.

• If the other end of cable is USB port I wonder if that would show name of song playing? Just found out that if you use AUX port it doesn't show name of song playing.
